Executive Council

Makayla Carchidi

President & Harm Reduction

Hi! My name is Makayla, and I am the President and Harm Reduction for Zeta Nu. I am a junior majoring in Health Science with a concentration in 3+2 PA studies. I joined ZTA searching for a place where I could truly feel supported, accepted, and at home, and from the very beginning, ZTA gave me exactly that. This sisterhood has pushed me to grow in ways I never imagined, both as a leader and as a person. Through ZTA, I’ve been given the chance to serve my community, step into leadership roles, and discover confidence in myself that I didn’t know I had. I will always be grateful for the love, support, and sense of belonging ZTA has given me, and becoming a Zeta is a choice I would make over and over again!

Maddie Martone

VP Programming & Finance

Hi! My name is Maddie, and I currently serve as VP Programming and Finance. I’m a sophomore majoring in Health Science with a concentration in PA Studies. I joined Zeta looking for a family, and from the very beginning I immediately clicked with the girls. ZTA has given me a strong support system and people I know I can always rely on. Since joining, I’ve grown so much both personally and professionally, and being part of this chapter has helped me develop valuable leadership skills. I’m so grateful for the opportunities, friendships, and sense of belonging that Zeta Tau Alpha has given me.

Summer Strauss

VP Learning, Development, & Recruitment

Hi, my name is Summer Strauss and I am the VP Learning, Development, & Recruitment. I am a sophomore and I am majoring in biomedical sciences with a concentration in medical laboratory science. I joined Zeta Tau Alpha for the sisterhood because it was something I was missing when starting at Lock Haven University. Zeta didn’t just give me sisterhood, it gave me unconditional support from my sisters, and a lifelong family. One of my favorite things about Zeta is our philanthropy because it is very personal to me and my family. This year (2025) my Mom was diagnosed with stage 3 Metastatic Breast Cancer. Zeta has chosen me, and I will forever choose Zeta.

Avery Potteiger

VP Administration & Academic Achievement

My name is Avery Potteiger and I am the VP Administration & Academic Achievement of ZN, here on campus. I am a sophomore majoring in Health Science, and I am enrolled in the Physician Assistant program. I joined Zeta Tau Alpha because of the sisterhood. Everyone was so welcoming, kind, and easy to talk to. This sisterhood has already pushed me to be a better person, allowing me to develop new friendships, and better myself.

Reilly Morin

VP Communication & Campus Relations

Hey! I’m Reilly and I’m the VP Communication & Campus Relations. I’m a junior majoring in Health Sciences with a concentration in the 3+2 Pre-PA program. Throughout life, I have always strived to make deep, meaningful connections with people close to me and within the community, and ZTA provided me with the perfect opportunity to do that. I’m immensely grateful to be constantly surrounded by supportive and empowered women who push me to do my best every day. I’ve grown both personally and professionally thanks to ZTA, including learning how to be a good leader and advocate for something bigger than all of us. The sense of belonging and sisterhood I feel in ZTA is something I wouldn’t trade for the world!
